Join the Four Rivers Vector Control Budget Committee

The Budget Committee is a local citizen body that works with the District Board to review the proposed annual budget. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and discussing the proposed budget presented by staff.

  • Providing input on community priorities for revenues and expenditures.

  • Ensuring the budget aligns with district goals and legal requirements.

  • Approving the budget before it goes to the Board for final adoption.

Budget committee members do not manage day-to-day operations but play a critical role in financial oversight and transparency.

To serve on the Budget Committee, applicants must:

  • Be a registered voter in Oregon.

  • Reside within the Four Rivers Vector Control District boundaries.

  • Not be an employee or officer of the District.

  • Be willing to serve a 3-year term (per ORS 294.414) and attend annual budget meetings (typically in the spring).
